Over the past twenty-seven years, Phil Bryce has risen to the top of the building profession. While employed full-time as a teacher and coach for the Memphis City Schools, Phil pursued his hobby of home repair, remodeling and design.
In 1977, Phil founded Bryce Homes. Over the years he has built and sold hundreds of new homes and developed many single family lots throughout Shelby County and North Mississippi, Bryce Homes also builds and manages duplex residences and office buildings.
As a past president of the
Memphis Area Home Builders Association
(MAHBA) and as a former director of both the Home Builders Association of Tennessee and the National Association of Homebuilders, Phil's personal integrity, "hands on" experience and creative vision have been acknowledged by colleagues and competitors who have twice named Phil “Builder of the Year” and presented him with two "Presidential Awards".
Phil's dedication to the homebuilding industry led to his becoming the "Father" of MAHBA Registered Builder Program during his term as president. Phil continues to serve on the committee to raise membership standards and improve accountability to the public. He is among the 1% of Shelby County builder graduates of the Builders Institute and has taught courses at the Institute for other builders.
Under Phil's guiding hand, the challenge of Bryce Homes is to fulfill his career-long commitment of "treating people right and meeting their needs at an affordable price". Bryce Homes takes as much pride in the quality of work put into a first time buyer’s home as we do a custom built home.
